Would a Realtor Buy Real Estate in This Market

Buy Now or Wait?

Years ago foreclosures were described as beaten up properties which were in need of thousands of dollars in repairs. Years ago most real estate agents wanted little to do with placing these properties on the market because of the work involved getting them ready for sale. Three years ago people were buying up properties left and right. I can still remember properties with 5 or 6 offers the same day properties hit the market. It is amazing that nobody was talking about waiting to buy. Remember the speculators across Florida and Arizona? Why didn't they wait until the market shifted? Why didn't I wait? Right now is an amazing time for real estate. I know that sellers are sick about what their homes are worth compared to what they shoulda, coulda. woulda done 3 or 4 years ago. Those same people should be trying to buy now. Anyone wanting a good story to tell, should get out there and buy a property now. People buying now will be proclaiming that they took advantage of the real estate market at the right time. I know many people who have the money, but are afraid to invest in real estate because the economy as a whole is volatile, unpredictable, and basically rotten. Today, I went to an electronics store that is going out of business. There were signs everywhere saying "50% off Going Out Of Business Sale". The parking lot of that store was full. The lines of people reminded me of ants. Everyone coming and going from that store recognized a sale was going on and they were determined to get in on the opportunity to save. The same kind of savings is going on in real estate right now, but people are distracted by other economic issues. Personally, I would rather get 50% off of a house than a television. I have a few buyers here in Lakeland that this week have stolen properties. One of these properties looked like it had never been lived in (near perfect condition). If they hadn't pulled the trigger when they did, I would have made an offer myself. I do have a couple properties I have my eye on. I hope to be able to say I took advantage of this real estate market in Lakeland. If you want to know about the best steals, we hear about them first. We would love to help you make a fortune in real estate.
